Posted by XanTium | March 23 14:12 EST | News Category: Xbox360

Seacrest released a new version of abgx360(info) - the ultimate tool for Xbox 360 ISOs and Stealth files.

Changes affecting all platforms:
* Added PFI/Video exceptions for "Disney Sing It: High School Musical 3 - Senior Year" and "Monsters vs. Aliens"
* Added support for new PFI/Video exceptions to be quickly added (and existing ones removed if necessary) via updates to abgx360.dat
* Fixed a bug which caused a blank or incomplete .dvd file to be considered valid
* GUI font size is now adjusted at runtime to prevent cut off text on some systems

Changes affecting Linux/BSD:
* Fixed a bug on 64 bit systems which made it impossible to add SplitVid
* GUI "Maximize it" option now works with latest xterm
* Numerous small changes to eliminate errors and warnings on latest gcc/g++

Oh come on now... You were just saying how you so wanted to play Disnesy Sing it  lol.

J/K

But, could it just be due to the new wave 3 video partition?? maybe it is somethign they can manipulate different ways during production that has to be changed in order to burn??

I noticed the recent switch to megaupload which only allows 2 downloads a day leaving Linux users a 2 day download if we want the gui.  It isn't necessary but maybe having mirrors?

Edit:You must register to get more than 2 downloads a day, Although free still a pain

Thanks, Ryan!  I never knew you had coding skills in addition to a swell radio voice.  Keep up the great work!

I'm curious as well. You smell a possible exploit of some sort?  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

It does seem strange to me that they can put these new video partitions on discs and pass disc check on the 360... I mean if my 360 was never on the internet, how would they tell the 360 this is ok if I don't already have the NXE somehow?  Afterall you can't have a dashbaord that knows what all the future video partitions will be like and pre approve them in the current dash...

I would assume only a dash update can be run from a non standard video partition, but it does seem like maybe there is some way in the system there.

Or the simplest theory - MS don't check for video partitions. The only reason stealth firmware exists at all is an attempt to ensure correctly ripped backups are used which accurately preserve as much data as possible from the original.

Original firmware has no such checks in place - why should it need to?

Disney SingIt HSM3 i believe had some data problems with the ABGX360 v1.0.0 and the way the app did the data checks of the game. Hawx and MLB was fine but HSM3 had some issues.

Where is the local games database now for OSX?  It deleted itself from my home folder (V1.0.0) and a system search did not locate anything.  All if finds is abgx GUI.  Anyone know whats up with this.

Thanks for all the hard work. I have to admit, the security image that MegaUpload is using is really hard to read. It took me several tries to get in.

Hey everyone ...

I just downloaded the new abgx360 v.1.0.1 to my MAC. About the installer, i read that the Video_0E58FB9D.iso files, usually has to be in ~/.abgx360/StealthFiles/ on other systems than Windows - but where is that on a MAC?

I hope that someone can help me smile.gif

The Disney Sing It game and Monsters Vs. Aliens were detected as wave 3 games by 1.0.0. If you had the Video_0E58FB9D.iso wave 3 video file in your local StealthFiles folder, it would autofix the games. If you didn't it would say that the stealth check failed. The games are wave 2 though, so they shouldn't be patched like that. Version 1.0.1 properly detects these games as wave 2 and will patch them back to wave 2 if you autofixed them using version 1.0.0.
