why is everyone so anal on the forums?  some of us just need a chance to learn.  flame if you want, but i have a question.

i understand abgx is for stealth patching too, so if i buy a kreon drive, and make a backup.  What about the stealth stuff?

*again, its just a simple question..

if you use a kreon, you don't need to patch anything. all the stealth files are ripped along with the disc.

LETS STAY ON TOPIC OF ABGX NEW VERSION

Trying to install on OS X 10.5.5 here and getting the following:

Install Failed

The following install step failed: run preflight script for abgx database. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.

I did show package and don't see the script. Any ideas?

so does that mean if all the games i got him to back up for me (9) show the message below, there poo poo'd

There is no verified rip of this Xex/SS combination in the online database, Failed to find a verified ini file for this Xex/SS combination
Verification Failed

you're NOT gonna get help for games you didn't backup yourself.

why? because as you mentioned you don't have the originals, making it illegal to posses copies.

im pretty sure its safe to have abgx fix the rip for you if anythign went wrong, I have had 1 rip of street fighter IV done properly off a kreon drive and all, doubled checked it with abgx and it told me the  XeX/SS verification failed to put it on level 3 for auto fix, I did and then it pass verification, popped it into my xbox and havent had a problem.

I was playing it before I had checked it with abgx  though with the original .ini file and also didnt have an issue.

anyone else here having problems where abgx is copying a bad ini file into the rip and getting people banned?

im sure the people behind abgx are smarter than that.

btw doesnt abgx automatically update if needed for the updated files?

the MLB2k9 is a self back-up.  I'm using the wxripper method since i don't have a KREON.  abgx didnt auto fix it.

Since you don't have a Kreon, then you are illegally obtaining the "stealth" files needed to make it work.

THAT would be the part of this app, that has been mentioned, we don't support here, and NOT to ask about.

It's PINNED in the RULES, there are plenty of CLOSED posts, and Suspended members to figure this out.

If you have valid questions about backing up your games the right (forum allowed) way, post in the Game Backup Forums.

Wouldn't the best way to check for consistency is running the original disc through abgx then scan the backed up gamed and check it against the original?

ABGX can do that right?

I'll answer my own question.

NO!  I got a message stating that the disc is too small to be an XBOX 360 game.  Whatever.
