360 Modification Disc v1.51
« Reply #135 on: March 18, 2009, 04:14:00 PM »

360 Modification Disc v1.52 is released!

Check the 'usual places' to download.

Changes in v1.52:

 - Fixed lockup/freezing issues with NTFS drives
 - Improved BenQ/Samsung dumping/flashing stability
 - Replaced MS-DOS with FreeDOS (more stable)

NOTE: The prompt is C: now instead of X: or A: - This is intended, as this version uses a bootable HDD image instead of floppy or CD-ROM.

Enjoy!

I get a "Missing Operating System" Error. The .iso wont boot.

Have you tried it on a different PC?

Have you tried setting 'IDE Compatibility Mode' for your SATA chipset in the BIOS?

you CAN use the xbox to power the drive, but most people recommend using a connectivity kit

okay, it seems I've successfully flashed my sammy from ix1.4 to ix1.51 with this incredible disc, but when I reboot my pc and check my C: drive, there are no files there under SAMFILES.  Am I missing something?  Where did my key go?  blink.gif

BTW this has resolved the NTSF drives crashing right and also does it have like a testing mode that tests the flashing process before you flash to see if the drives flash correctly?

What name did you use for your backup directory?

If you type more than 8 characters for the name, it won't save the backup files to your HDD... (due to DOS restrictions) but it will still flash your drive correctly.

You need either autoxbins or hop on IRC efnet and join #xbins on efnet and read the topic wink.gif

Yes, you can. Just run the disc, and turn off your PC before you flash the drive. This will save the ORIG.BIN file to the directory you specified. happy.gif
