it's not a  compilation of tools. It's an automated DOS based program to help noobs etc. flash their drives.

Maybe you should try it before commenting on it, or better yet do something to contribute to the scene instead of just standing on the sidelines with you arms crossed talking shit to those who do.....  dry.gif

Is it more reliable to flash in DOS rather than in windows? I use junglerflasher and it works flawless! Is there any benefit for me to start flashing in DOS?

Any person or group that contributes these small apps to the scene are very talented.

I've tired to flash in windows a million times, and have not been able to do it yet.  All I use windows for is to read the keys and files, and make my firmware.  Then I use l-o-eras- and dosflash to flash the firmware to the drive. And that is the only way I've been able to get them flashed is with dosflash.

The first one or two tools worked fine.  I think it's more confusing to noobs when there are fifteen programs then two.

Good work, but unnessecary.

Why doesn't anyone work on a Hitachi bad flash recovery tool?  I believe that's long over due.

And yes, I suppose I haven't contributed anything except a basic outline of what needs to be done to boot Linux from the 360's HDD, and a couple of breakthroughs in Morrowind modding.

i was a total noob with a dg16d2s.

i did my part by reading up, used this tool, flawless victory. for the lite on, ill swear by this right here.

for those who havent gotten hardware yet, i suggest the "MAX232 RS232 To TTL Converter/Adapter Module Board". search it o ebay, buy some wire from radioshack, hook up the gnd to the black and the vcc to the red of a molex connector, connect the Rx with the r707, and you're good to go. shouldnt set you back more than $15.

good luck to the newbies, and thanks again for the tool!

is a new release required for ix1.51 ? or just rename the .bin and stick it in the FW folder? will this cause problems with checksums?

Yes, it works! Just rename the firmware (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
