The other day I set up my network so all our computers and 360's could see and fileshare with one another. I had the 360's streaming my videos through the Windows Media Player 11 sharing option and it worked a handful of times without incident.

However now no videos will play. I can see my computer and access it, select a file and attempt to play it but then it comes up with an error saying that the connection has been lost. I check my computer and the "Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service" has crashed. Sending an error report bring back the culprit as Xvid.

I have tried searching everywhere and have not found a solution. I have uninstalled all my codecs and reinstalled them using K-Lite Mega Codec Pack but it still has the same problem. I have heard that getting rid of Xvid altogether fixes the problem but then a significant portion of my videos wont even play on my computer.

My firewall is all setup properly as I can see and access the computer, just seems there is some sort of issue with Xvid.

If anyone has this problem or has some sort of fix or workaround that would be great, its getting really frustrating because I had it working.
