Retail Xbox 120gb Drive Only Showing 10gb Free?
« on: January 19, 2009, 11:36:00 AM »

I used explorer360 to copy partition3 from my 20gb drive to a retail xbox 360 120gb drive and its only showing around 10gb free on the xbox. Did I miss a step somewhere? I know I can use the connectivity kit, but I don't want to wait for it to get here.

Thanks.

First step: you must have part 0 , 2 , 3 on your 120GB HDD.

2nd step, plug your HDD 120GB to XBOX and format  then plug into PC and move all folders from PC part 2 and 3 to part 2 and 3 on your HDD 120gb. After this, attach your 120GB HDD to XBOX and be happy (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Sorry for my english (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) still learning

You have to move the folders manually, i do not believe you cannot backup partition 3 into a .bin file and restore it.

Ahh, so I have to copy the contents of partition 2 as well? That must be what I was missing. I did have all three partitions show up in explorer360 and manually dragged the contents to my desktop then to the other drive. I did it only with partition 3 data though.

Well, now I can see all the free space but none of my gave saves are working. I'm aware of the few that don't work with this method (ie. fable II and rock band), but none of mine seem to exist.
