60gb Hdd Toshiba With Xplorer360/xport360
« on: January 12, 2009, 03:07:00 PM »

Hello,

i decided to start a new topic because most of them treat 20 and 120 GB HDD and not 60GB. Therefore this topic is especially for the 60gb.

i found a lot of answers on this forum by simply reading and searching. But on this one, i really have to make my first post.

I'm having one of the newer xbox 360 (Liteon dvd) with a HDD 60gb Toshiba MK6052GSX.
I've tried 5 xplorer360 versions (dont know if they were all different) and 1 xport360 (v1.2)
The xplorers allow me only to read partition 2 and sometimes partition 3 (strange characters).
In Xport360 i can read all partitions but still strange characters in partition 3 and when browsing the directories the software freezes or crashes. (Above all i also got myself a corrupt profile)

I'm using SATA VIA 6421 and a team xecuter hdd adapter that came with the CK3.

-Is there a hex edit for the 60gb toshiba drive?
-who has had success with a 60gb toshiba drive ?
if yes:
-which software?
-which hardware?

Does anyone know 'How to get a 60GB HDD working with xplorer/xport or some other software'

Please post your experiences with the 60GB *only*. Thanks!

To be certain: you're looking for help going from a 60gb to a 120gb, or just from a 20 to a 60?

Neither, i just want to access, browse, backup my original 60 GB HDD. I also would like to transfer movies directly from my pc to the HDD.  But i can't get Xplorer or xport to work.

I played with xplorer360 back when the 120gb drive came out.  I'd be willing to have a look at it but I dont have a 60GB drive to mess around with it.

Me and a friend of mine just got 2 new jasper with liteon and 60 Gb hard drive.
My friend tried connecting hard disk under vista using xport 1.12 but the program freezes. The problem is that there are video on youtube showing that xport 1.12 works fine with 60 gb hard drive, but many people say it doesn't.
I will test myself on saturday and see what I can do about it, and then report back here.
(my friend is trying using old connectivity kit V1, I have CK3 pro).

Hopefully, you'll find some method and get it to work.

It seems there's a new version added yesterday 15-01-09; " Latest Xport 360 Install (v2.00) - Vista, Vista 64, 60GB and 120GB HD Compatible"

check it out at codejunkies

I'll try it soon. Let me know if someone already did on the new 60gb drives.

These versions still do not allow you to add songs/videos/pictures to your 60GB HDD. How much longer until the Xplorer360 comes out supporting the 60GB drives.

I'm also having problems accessing my game saves on the 60gb hdd. I'm using the hdd adapter that came with the connectivity kit from executer. I can browse all folders on partition 3 except for the content folder that contains all the game saves. This is with the newest release of xport 360. I tried using xplorer 360 but couldn't see anything under partition 3.

If i had a corrupted profile on a 20gb hdd and recovered my profile on a new xbox 360 with a 60gb will these game saves work if i transfer them over? Assuming i can get the 60gb hdd working with either one of these programs.

I tried it and it hangs when opening 60 gb hard drive. I could just backup entire hard disk, but when I try to open bin file it hangs as well...

Exactly the same problem and I have an Hitachi HD too. Impossible to open with Xport or Xplorer360.

With xport 2.0 I can read partition 3 and drag files out to my pc but can't drag anything in.
