Just as a note in order for me to get this to run I needed to put the MSINET.OCX file in to your system 32 folder. C/Windows/system32. I tried to install the drivers in the driver folder for xp but the gui never worked so I had to google it and figured out what I needed to do because there is no tutorial on how to use this software. Also is there any use for this other than using the probe? All xecuters tuts use maximus tools. O I would have posted on there but I read some of the other posts and I have seen some of your excellent help.

The tutorial tells you to use a sata card or the X360 USB - it even shows pictures of these !

The tutorials are perfect - you are the first of thousands to question the use of the USB port

In future just follow a tutorial correctly - never assume

What a jackass. The tuts might be perfect in your eyes but maybe not for someone that just paid $50 thinking that your hardware is supposed to make things super easy to do. I figured everything out but I have flashed drives before without this. Like when I first used the CK3 on a hitachi 46 and followed the tut my xp computer never picked up the drive. If I didn't know what to do I would have been some "noob" asking questions on a forum and getting flamed for it.

No problems with xtractor.  Still waiting on my ck3 lite.  Just wondering which app people got better results with using the screwdriver method.  Seems xtractor, ck3 tool and dvdkey32 all do they same thing.

Ya and I bet 90% of them don't have a job, I mean really is it that difficult to save up a few bob nowadays? Xecuter look like they have made a decent product I'd certainly recommend them to people top notch guys.

I think he has a valid complaint, like the Ring of death repair kit that they sold but couldn't be bothered to include basic instructions or even to create a simple text file and host it on their site. They just had a broken link to a tute someone else wrote. Similar deal here, keep putting out tiny 'point releases' for the probe and getting a page of free advertising every time for something that they sell that is effectively other people's work.

Utter rubish... did MS come up with the idea of game consoles? NO they just made a better one  biggrin.gif
Did sony come up with the idea of LCD TV? No they just made some better ones. Did Xecuter come up with the first Xbox 360 hack? No they just made some high quality connectivity kits that some people find extremely usefull.

The RROD kit was for some was very handy, not everyone wanted to go and purchase bags of washers, screws, bolts and opening tools just for one xbox, its simply easier to let someone put the exact parts needed into a bag so you dont need to do the searching yourself. Xecuter may not have included some basic instructions BUT if your buying such a kit then i personally would expect you know what your doing and have already looked at tutorials.

My point is that theres a good chance 100% of the software and hardware we use today was originally designed by someone else but has been copied and reproduced by hundreds of other companies all over the world, Xecuter are no different but in IMO they produce some fine quality hardware that isn't available at such good quality elsewhere.
