360 Transfer Kit Issues With Vista!
« on: November 25, 2008, 10:51:00 AM »

Hey guys! I recently bought the Datel Transfer Kit. And, yes I've read a lot of bad about on the net. I have never been able to get XChange to recognize my MC. I was able to get both Xplorer360 & XPort softwares to recognize my MC. Now, I know all of you looking at this are saying why would you need XChange if no problems with XPlorer & XPort? BTW, I've been most active on the boards since joining in the 360 BST forums.

Well, my MC is only 64MB & in order to use files associated with XPlorer & XPort you need to convert these file(.z36) to .BIN so they can be used. This leads to a bigger file size when converting & therefore not enough MC space(64MB) for using the XPlorer & XPort programs. The .bin files are usually around 62MB while the .z36 files are a lot smaller(1-5MB). I'm in the process of looking for a bigger MC to help with that BUT I'd just like to use this XChange software with my 64MB MC.

Sometimes my MC shows up in XChange but I still get errors when trying to do things wit the MC. Why can't I get Vista/Xchange to notice my MC? I have no exclamation points or unknown devices from device manager now but it was like pulling teeth to get this fixed. Any ideas as to how to get this XChange software working with Vista & my 64MB MC? Thanks guys!  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif)

I need to clarify something. My MC is actually being seen by XChange but when I try to transfer something I then get the error message of "Memory Card Error, Please Remove & Reinsert the MC". What would cause this type error from XChange? Thanks!  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
