iPrep 101 v008 Pro Beta

Klutsh released a new version of iPrep 101(info) a .NET application and collection of MSDOS scripts/applications for use in flashing a Samsung TS-H943A or BenQ DVD drives.

What's new/fixed:
* Removed MTKFlash, now exclusive use of DOSFlash.
* Forced use of removeable drives.
* Win32 UI for DVDKey32.
* Ability to generate valid BenQ/Samsung Lite-On Spoof Firmware.
* Includes FirmTool 1.2, DVDKey32 v0.6, DosFlash(info) 1.6.

Tried this on sunday. For some reason it was not installing a front end, just copying the dosflash files and creating the backup folder.

Looks promising though. Very complete tool.

No, Just a Windows UI for DVDKey32, makes it easier than having to locate your IO port, and then run DVDKey32 via CMD Prompt and then patch in FirmwareToolBox.

On another note, there is no nice DOS guide in the Pro Beta, this is for advanced users that prefer to write the commands by hand.

Once Pro is out of Beta I'll get to work on some nice DOS guide for those that want it again.

for the liteon,you don't have to use Firmware toolbox at all anymore after this??? It'll patch the key automatically for whatever drive you wish to use the spoof liteon as.

It will create either a iXtreme 1.4 12x for a Samsung or iXtreme 1.41 12x for a BenQ.
I'll add other firmware's later, so if you want to use either of those firmwares then FirmwareToolbox is not needed.

I think this version is a step backward. In my opinion the main function of iPrep was always the easy to use MSDOS Bootstick, but now it's even harder.

btw, Klutsh i'm still working with the Batch files but i want to update to Dosflash1.6, so the command lines changed. But i have Problems with erasing benq, could you please look at this thread at xboxhacker.net:

Samsung flashing works great, only the benq erase fails.

It would be great if caster would update hit firmtool, so that we can read liteon and spoof to sammy or benq in DOS...

Could you be more specific? What do you mean by "Lite-On Patching"?

EDIT: Also, what is a "valid Samsung Lite-On Spoof Firmware"? Afaik people are still waiting for iX1.5 to do a proper spoof.
