Xbox 360 And Media Sharing ( Not Ics )

Hi, i have my computer ( without an internet connection ) and my xbox 360 connected to each other via ethernet cable. All i want to do is share my videos using wmp11, though when i test my media connection it says Ip Address : Failed - both my ip on the computer and on the xbox are set to automatic, can anyone please help ? Many Thanks. P.S Ive had/got my media sharing and ICS with the laptop set up perfectly with the xbox 360 just need to have it with the pc as most of my media is on their.
