Xplorer360 Dumping Cache Folder
« on: September 16, 2008, 04:04:00 PM »

ok im sorry if if this has been asked somewhere else but i have yet to find it so how long does it usually take to back up the cache folder from the xbox360 hdd to a pc? because right now its going on two hours. the other folders backed up perfectly fine but this one is taking forever either way im just going to let it go but man its taking a long time, is this folder necessary for games? or could i just delete it?

thanks

It's almost 4 hours since I started copying the Cache folder over, and it's still going.  I'm a little worried that something isn't working right, as that seems an awful long time for what is only a few GBs.

I'm assuming it's going to take just as long copying it back to the new drive as well?

mate, cancel it now, it's just looping. mine did the same but left it overnight biggrin.gif
In the morning I stopped it,  manually created a cache folder and moved the files over in smaller batches and it took no time at all. I think there might be problems with the amount of files, but they are all small in size.

Thanks a lot monkeyspank!!

I'm glad I canceled just after 2 hours smile.gif

Moving them manually, they moved in 3 batches in under 1 minute!!! I used beta 6 for this...
