How are you using it? With the MS disc doing it the official way or going through xplorer360?

Edit...After googling that error code, I see that it is a error that happens using the cable the official way. I did not see any further information, so you would probably need more

Have you tried to copy the files over using xplorer360? You would still need to recover the account to the drive, but most of the stuff should work.

you may or may not have resolved this but i managed to "out smart" the annoying thing. smile.gif

just got my 120GB HD today and spent the best part of 2 hours getting the 0x80240380 error. Google et al gave me nothing so i thought i'd try deleting stuff! What the heck...if it wasn't going to work i'd have to start all over again on the new drive anyway mad.gif

Deleted the following:
Music
Videos

Tried again and it erred  sad.gif

Old (original) Xbox saves
Additional downloaded items e.g. the multimedia update

Worked but some files didn't copy. Had a look through the 120GB and my saves appeared to be intact (well, GoW2 is anyway...haven't tried the other games). Looks like it can only transfer X360 generated files like game saves, gamer pics and themes

If you did get it resolved i'd be interested to hear how you got round it.

Cheers!  biggrin.gif
