Xplorer 360 Won't Write Folders To The Hdd
« on: August 04, 2008, 04:05:00 AM »

I'm having a weird problem here,I flashed a 120GB BEVS with hddhackr with the proper hddss.bin and then formatted it on the 360,it's working fine on it and it lists as 107GB is left.The problem is when trying to add the files from the backup I made with my saves,when I insert a folder,it will do all the transfer,but none of the folder and files will appear listed on the partition after that.The most weird thing is that I can both add invidual files and create new folders manually.I tried it with Windows XP and Windows Vista,each of it with different sata chipsets,and I also tried with a SATA to USB adaptor,no luck.I also did try to restore a backup image,it always hang somewhere during the transfer,I tried it more than 10 times,when restoring from the image several files and folder are listed on the partition,but as it doesn't finish all the transfer there still files left to add to it.
Has anyone have any idea how I solve this issue?I think I will have to buy a memory card just to transfer all my data,the program just doesn't work,I also tried several times reformatting it and undo the flash and doing it again.

Can anyone please post what's the original sector is like beforing editing to 58 54 41 46 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 10 00 00 00 01?I think that might be the issue.

Ok,the way I solved the problem seens to make no sense for me,but it worked.If anyone has a similar problem add a new folder to the partition you want to add the folder,enter it,and in it insert the folder you want,the folder will be uploaded to the root and after the transfer it lists the files just fine.

got answer to ur problem it would not let me copy anything to parition 3 eg;
$systemupdate
$titleupdate
Cache
Compatibility
Content
mindex
name.txt

but it would let me restore partition 2.

FIX...
the way to do it is click on ur parition 3 then drag one folder at a time or all the folders n the the txt file together. but make sure u drag into the right column explorer in xplorer360.

Also use xplorer360 extreme 2 !
