Maybe we should leave the Batch files there as an alternative - With all the updates recently it's making me think if I should actually use it.

If this update still show's people are having trouble with the BenQ's I'm going to go back to batch files.

All these updates are for nothing more than bug fix's, but the base of the DOS application is altered a fair amount to warrent a version update.

My iPrep v006 works perfect. Is it necessary to update to v007.3? Or is it just a nicer GUI? Nothing important?

Was meant to be an easier GUI, not working out too well.

Am going back to Batch files, if 006. works fine, no need to update

Thats all the batch files do,
Saves loads of typing and save having to remember/lookup the port number everytime.

Thought i'd update to version 7 as had to sort out a friends box which had a Benq.  No joy reading and patching firmware so back to 006 and had no problem!  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

...if it aint broke don't fix it

Same thing here.

The New iprep 101 007.2 and 007.3 is no go for ben-Q drives.

The old iPrep 101 006.1 updated whit firmtoolv1.2 and ixDef 1.4.1 is best release so far.

... and here as well, but with ts/ms28, wouldn't read. The screen where it says "in the next screen you will see a menu..." or something like that it says "press a key to continue", dit that and then i get an error.

did the same setup a couple of time with previous version, no problem. going back to previous version.

Ipre 101 with ms 28
When I use XBM 0.56, I have to apply Bokes Patch to make it works with my ms28, but with Iprep 101, I did't see a option for Bokes patch. But when I look into the information on XS website, the snap shot had a optoon for "force device list", did the new version cancel this option? Can I flash ms28 use v007.3?
