Hi everyone, im having this totally weird problem with windows vista and xbox360
i just formatted my pc with windows vista home premium i fully updated vista from windows update

Anywho, i setup a dialup connection to my 56k modem named it WASP
i turned on ICS for this connection (all 3 options)

then i setup my Ethernet connection to my xbox 360 as
IP: 192.168.0.1
subnet 255 255 255 0
gateway 192.168.0.1
dns: 192.168.0.1

then i goto my xbox 360 and turn it on (all networking is set to automatic) the xbox live connection fails but the xbox media connection works fine so i can use Media Center and stream files from WMP11 to the console when i return to the computer my dialup connection has changed from "Local and internet" to "Local Only" and i cannot access any webpages or ping any webpages

so i turn the console off and return to the pc and my internet returns and works perfectly.

What's your default connection to the internet? You don't need to create a new one for ICS, just share the existing one with the LAN Connection on your PC.
