Winhex Help
« on: April 10, 2008, 12:24:00 AM »

If anyone could give me a step by step on how to use winhex to dump the 16-22. I load up winhex and i don't know where to start. I'm quite computer literate but the whole upgrading up to a 120 from the 20 is just racking my brain. i've never use a program like winhex before and a step by step to get the 16- 20 into a "hddss.bin" would mean the world to me right now.

I know this post is a month old, but maybe someone still would like to know.

Open up your drive with F9 in winhex, left click and hold on the first digit of offset 2000, then drag to 2dff.  You should now see all those bytes highlighted.
Right click on one of the highlighted parts, edit, copy block, into new file.  GIve it a name, hddss.bin or whatever, a save location, and you are done!

Good Luck.
