iPrep 101 v006.1 Update
Posted by XanTium | January 20 22:18 EST | News Category: Xbox360

Klutsh released a small update of iPrep 101(info), a .NET application and collection of MSDOS scripts/applications for use in flashing a Samsung TS-H943A or BenQ DVD drives.
What's new/fixed:
* Fixes a typo in the DOS Samsung batch files.
* To use just replace the iPrep101.exe in the programs directory.

I'm pretty sure it says "use at own risk" right in the readme.

Nope, Would just cause MTKFlash to freeze before starting to read or dump the drive.

Strange, no part of that code was changed.

The problem that has with benq batch file as it says it the "hacking the xbox360 for noobs 2008" it fixed in this version of iperep or not?

The problem that "hacking the xbox360 for noobs 2008" says :

You will then see this screen which tells you to power OFF the 360:

IMAGE

IMPORTANT! You must power the 360 back ON before pressing any key to continue.

If you press any key to continue with the 360 powered OFF (as instructed to do on screen) it will immediately
freeze attempting to write Bank 0. This is a bug in iPrep 006 and will hopefully be resolved in a future release.
So power the 360 OFF, wait a few seconds, power it ON, wait a few seconds, then press any key to continue.

Writing should begin as soon as you press any key to continue with the 360 already powered ON. All 4 banks should write OK and you should get a “Writing finished!” message with a Datasum....

I was'nt aware of that, I will look into it, however the Batch files are just copy paste near enough of eXOBeX's batch files.

Will this update fix my problem?  The problem is that the dsam dump on the MS28 drive is stopping at 01% and writing a sam-ofw.bin file at 1kb.  Will this dump the proper sam-ofw.bin size?
