Just what the title says?  Which program is better/more secure for ripping?

Schtrom360Xtract3.4 or XBC 2.7?

I tried both, interesting thing, they took the same amount of time to extract the image, but XBC made the drive loud as hell.

This could depend on the installed TS-H943A fw. I experienced that for some slow mode fw's (e.g. Xtreme 5.3b) the drive speeds up the disc, but the transfer rate stays low. I bet XBC tries to speed up the disc, but the drive don't give back more data. S360X is set to not do any speed ups at the default values. If you set it to 12x speed in options you'll experience the same behaviour for S360X as for XBC.

For the security in my opinion none is superior over the other. On some system one works better, but there is no security related difference.
