Have I Bricked My Pc Dive?
« on: February 03, 2020, 06:48:00 AM »

i opened dosflash32 purely in curiosity of the program, i didnt have my 360's drive plugged in or anything, just wanted to look at the interface. i pressed no to keep searching for the drive, which would have been pointless as it wasnt plugged in.

after looking at a few of the options i quit the application (to the best of my knowledge i didnt do anything, didnt press read, write etc.) but ever since my dvd drive on my pc has been missing. it doesnt show up in my computer and i cant seem to find it in system information.

was i not supposed to have run the program with any drive connected?

thanks

Change over the IDE/Sata cables, it's probably got confused, it did that on my Old PC once I changed my drives to channel 2 it's probably just Windows messing up. If you can still Eject your drive I doubt it's bricked.

I've never used that program before though, or you could try removing the drive from Device Manager and refreshing it.
