I have a non modded version 1.4 xbox...it frags. i searched fragging and just got done reading through about 200 different topics... 98% of them had to do with fragging xbox that had chips installed...the other 2% had to do with verison 1.4's. (what a coincidence). well anyways i was wondering if anyone knew what to do to fix this problem. the only thing i have found wrong with it is the LFrame ( here ) should read 3.3v and it reads 0...i cant find any broken traces...any ideas? would the 3 wire trick help? (IM me if you dont know what the 3 wire trick is ill send you a picture)

yer that might work. or just backtrack the D0 to see why it hasnt got 3.3v

The D0 point is not LFrame on this 1.4. If it was nobody would need to solder a wire from the D0 point to a modchip D0

This won't help.

the Lframe is not present at the LPC on the later model you have so the info in the diagram may be misleading as it shows a n earlier version where it is present.
If the Lframe is indeed the problem then the problem will be truly difficult to fix.

Basically on an unmodded box you will be looking at perhaps its had it and the bit about the lframe on the lPC is a bit misleading as mentioned above Lframe is not on the LPC on a 1.4 anyway.

i also just tried booting with a game in it and the drive spins up and everything sounds fine liek the game is running...just getting reg/green light up and no video or sound

well if it was getting 3.3v, then id say it was the bios

alright....i looked at a diagram and it showed this was the LFrame on a 1.4

maybe that isnt the lframe but it reads O volts...should it read something else? if so what should it read and how do i go about fixing it?

LFrame on 1.3-1.5 SHOULD read 0v, its disconnected on the LPC, and anything messed up on teh LPC wont effect it since your xbox is non modded

also, 3 wire trick wont help, its only for 1.0 and 1.1 xboxs

i would suggets getting a modchip and see if it can boot that way, then at least youll know if its a TSOP problem, so many issues cause fragging there is really no way to narrow it down

ive read alot about 1.4 screwing up and then people say they fixed it but dont explain how....i dont understand why people dont explain what they did...then you get people yelling at you about not searching but when you do you cant find any info....well anyways back to my 1.4 problem.....ive determined that it is not the mcpx chip. all of the little holes where you put in a chip read the right volts...this thing is completly stock...does anyone have any ideas abotu how to fix it? please someone reply i am desperate

I'd try a modchip and see if that will boot it like lordvader129 suggested. My xbox was booting with a green light but no video or audio when I misflashed my modchip so your problem could be as simple as something wrong with the bios.

yer, just stick a mod chip in and see if it works. if it does, then thats less work to do

yeah, its probably a corrupt bios, only way to fix is with a 29 wire mod... if they can even be installed on such a new board...
