Hello,
I have an Xbox elite with a linksys wired router befsr41 ver 4.3. My xbox connects to xbox live but does not connect to my pc to media share. It says pc select failed. I downloaded zune,wmp 11, tversity,simple center, vlc media player and reverted to windows media connect 2.0. The same problem with each one , my pc doesnt see the xbox to share. I am running windows xp home edition 2002 with service pack2 and every available update. I unistalled all my firewalls and have the default service pack 2 firewall running. I have check all these programs in the exceptions and  manually opened ports on both my pc and router and still nothing. I have read all the instructions but when I get to the point where I am gonna share with my pc there is no xbox icon, none of the instructions say what to do in that case. I called xbox, what a waste of my cell minutes, they told me router isnt working, but it is if it connects to xbox live in my opinion. Prior to the router I had a hub and they said a hub doesnt work go buy this specific router that they say now doesnt work>>> I am at my end here anyone have any ideas?? Is there a setting on my pc preventing it from connecting to the xbox?> I even try to connect the xbox directly to my pc, all that did was reconfigure my pc's internet setting and prevent me from going online...I feel like this is a simple fix that I'm missing
