Software Based Analog/digital Signal Switcher?
« on: October 14, 2007, 01:13:00 PM »

So is there any solution for standalone software based Video signal switcher ?

I tryed something, but that's not working :\ I have a Samsung 225BW monitor. It got 2 video port, an analog and a DVI. Iam using the analog for X360, and the DVI for my PC. You are able the switch between the two by pressing a button on the monitor. This is ok, but the monitor's setting software, called MagicTune have a function, to switch between the two input signal:

So i made a script with Autohotkey. With this app. u are able to reconfig your keyboard, do scripted actions, like mouse clicks, able to move windows, and so on, very powerfull app. So i made a script, when Alt+1 was presed it's clicks on the Analog button, if Alt+2 was pressed it's clicking on the Digital button. It works when you switching from PC to Xbox, but when u try to switch back it's not working, because MagicTune f*cks up, and it says, no signal(when u switching back manualy with the monitor's button), or just simply not working.

Iam realy pissed about this, because i was so close to the final solution. My question is the same, is there any way to switch between signals using a software? I just explained my findings.

thx
