Xdvdmulleter 10 Not Detecting Cd Drives
« on: September 28, 2007, 09:46:00 PM »

Hi folks,

Recently I was the victim of nasty malware/spyware (spy sherrif/brave sentry) and have reinstalled xp now when I try verify my ISO's with mulleter my DVD Drives dont come up as devices with mulleter yet they are working fine everywhere else (Nero, Explorer, Media Player etc).  I tried installing updated ASPI drivers (Adaptec) ones and still no luck.

Anyone else had this problem and found a way to fix it? - Its totally got me stumped.

Mulleter doesnt use ASPI, its all SPTI.
And drive detection/listing is a bit crappy at the moment because I couldnt find information on how to list them the way I would like. Having said that, I put my drives in a new case today, and now the dvdrom reports as a WDC hard disk to mulleter (it knows its a dvd, just gets the name wrong) so I have an incentive to fix it.

Is your list not populated at all? Or does it just have wrongly named drives in it? Drive letter should be correct, even if the name isnt, and it SHOULD still detect them all. Although, I cant really say for sure smile.gif

hi Badsheepy,

Thx for the reply.  My DVD drives arent coming up in the drive detection list at all its listing my hard drives.  Ive also got Vista multibooting off my machine (on a separate drive) though dont use it that much and mulleter picks up all the DVD drives fine.  Just not in the fresh install of XP which is what I mainly use at the moment.

Any insightful advice/solutions appreactiated as I'm pulling my hair out over this one :-)

Its a bug, im looking into fixing it now smile.gif
Do the drive letters correspond to the names?
cause like i said, itll happily list your dvdroms with completely wrong information sometimes.
If not, give me a day or two and ill see what i can do smile.gif

Hi Badsheepy,

I checked Mulleter again and loaded a 360 game in the DVD and yeh you were right it is listing the right drive letter for the DVD's just listing them as hard drives.  So yay I'm back in business just gotta get my head round the drives listing as hard disks :-)
