im kinda confused, should we use this new version or stick with 2.5?  i havent had problems with 2.5 and i kinda want to stick with what is working...   Or is it recommended to use 2.6 because of the splitVid?

Hi there. It seems as though my XBC no longer wants to even read a 360 disc. I throw it in the drive, select the correct drive in the program, and it just spins and spins, never giving me a selectable grey button. Yes, I've read the other material, and yes I do have the right drive selected. This is clearly something else.

Any ideas?

Hey Guys,
I have a question, just updated to 2.6, I have one question,
My old backups were 7,395,392 in size (using 2.5) - successfully backed up about 20 games no problems...
I just backed up an older game w/ the new 2.6 and its 7,651,262 in size...

what with the 300 megs?

Can anyone explain this?
Is this the new normal size?

Thanks a lot fellas and Great Job!!!

Jaboo - Use Mulleter to try to fix it

dbldown768 - If you like 2.5 with now issue it fine to use. 2.6 was just some small changes

tinpanalley - No idea without mor info.. does 2.5 work, does schtrom's work, do you have a log?

EGranuloma - Sent a pm explanation also.. but basically that is splitvid at work. It is completely optional, if you don't want the new format you can turn it off.

First off, thanks for all the hard work Redline!

Second, I have a question about the new SplitVid ISO patching. When patching with SplitVid, it looks like it modifies the layer data in the ISO. Here's my question: do we still burn using the original .dvd file, or do we burn straight up with the modified .iso? I'm a little confused about the function of SplitVid and how it relates to layer breaks, so any technical explanation would be wonderful (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it!

Wompa164 - the layerbreak is the same as normal.. just the video layer1 data is copied to the correct positions...which would be AFTER the all of the game data to obtain the correct PSN.

On the .dvd file.. I never use it.. the app can detect the correct layerbreak on it's own.. but it you have a .dvd file it will use it... (It was intended to be a way to bypass the internal app layerbreak calculation or to use with other burning apps such as ImgBurn) you should be able to just delete or rename it and my app will autodetect.

redline, i am just a bit curious what the difference is between the splitvid in 2.5 and in 2.6. if i do a stealth check on my splitvid images that were created using 2.5 the splitvid format says not tested and it fails the check. while images made using 2.6 will pass

The Tool doesnt work for me under Vista 64 bit sad.gif
I got an error, when i select my SH-D163A DVD Drive from the drop down menu.
I can only select SPI.
Must i first install an ASPI driver under vista?
With windows XP i have no problems with this tool!
