Xbox 360 Wireless Controller On Pc
« on: August 29, 2007, 05:32:00 PM »

Hey, i just went out and bought the receiver for PC. However the support by microsoft is really shitty. I've been looking around for some software that maps the controller directly to the keyboard/mouse so i can play it with any game. I found this, http://www.pinnaclegameprofiler.com, but it cost $20. I was wondering if anyone knows where i can get soem free software to do this.

He is trying to LOOK FOR SOFTWARE to USE ON ALL GAMES. Microsoft only enables the controller to be used on its "Games for Windows" Franchise. It will work with a multitude of the family's games (ShadowRun, Halo 2: Vista, etc.), he is looking for a solution via drivers for the wireless receiver.

I've searched around and this is what I found:
http://tattiebogle.n...WirelessUsbInfo

If you want to try and make your own drivers ^ that'll be what you need.... If i got Mac Source code or something (the site's owner was using that source to make a Mac-Compatible Wireless Receiver) PLEASE tell me.....

And:
http://www.katch.ne.jp/~morii/x360c/

Choose your OS, they should work (I haven't personally tried them and do not know if they will be foreign or virus-free). They are 3rd Party! Do not blame me if you get a virus, once again, I have NOT tried them.

And Tweaking Software:

I think these will set your DEAD ZONES and mapping (only a guess). I have not tried these either!

I'm assuming you searched around on here first, and Google as well. I know how easily it can get BORING using the search feature, trying different wordings to see which gives you good results, specific results or whatever, my brother develops a bulletin board software, MyBB. lol. Hope I helped.....

Cool, is it really that good? I might try after the issue with the dead ports gets resolved... Actually, maybe not. I might indulge a little =].

Not trying to flame anyone or shout (admins, if you have a problem with the caps just edit it or pm me to do it, whatever is easier) but, ajkilla you made a mistake (I only used caps to make it stand out - it points out the things you actually have to read).
