Hi Guys

Not sure if this is relevant but the drive which is capable of reading the disk has the ability to read disk control blocks, whereas the other 2 drives which don't read the disk haven't.

I was not able to get 9.6/9.7 to read from a disc, but 9.0 worked fine.  And someone else said 9.5 works but I could not find that version to test it.

I tried 9.0 and had the same results.  Works with 9.0, but not 9.7.

Uhm.. im not entirely sure what a disc control block is smile.gif
If i could be pointed in the right direction I will take a look.

After a whole load of pc problems I have finally got stuff working again, so perhaps i will be able to fix it, and some other stuff soon smile.gif

i've been trying to make a few xbox1 backups from my original games to be played on the xbox1 (not the xbox360, so kreon method isn't an option this time round)

i want to make it clear that i own the originals and i'm trying to backup them up for xbox1 usage

so i've connected the pc and the xbox1 through ftp, with the help of craxtion, used the disc ripper feature and then the create iso feature and before creating the iso, craxtion automatically patched the xbe's.

then after the iso was created by craxtion i tried to view it's details with xdvdmulleter, to see if something was wrong, i know it wouldn't have video partition, security sectors or stealth, but i wanted to check if it didn't have any errors.

and it did show an error which was "image appears to be a peculiar size"

so i was wondering if badsheepy or someone else could tell me if anything is wrong with my iso

cheers to all

Is there an update to the problem with some drives giving "Error reading from specified disc" introduced with 9.6?

I found a copy of 9.3 and it works with my drive but I was hoping a fix had been found.  I tried 9.7 with a Lite-on SOHW-1693S and a matshita drive which I don't have the model # for at the moment and it fails with both.

I had problems too while my liteon (165 series) was connected to my MB.
since I took it out (now in a USB enclosure since it is for scanning only),

only have Samsung D162C and Pioneer 112, I have no more probs  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)  so could be hardware conflict??

use craxtion and burn it. your asking in the 360 section, aka your only going to see info thats going to confuse you. the xbox1 doesn't need stealth or any of that. you just use craxtion, create your iso, and burn it. nothing else to do.

personally, i would say put a bigger harddrive in your xbox and rip your games directly to that with HDDloader.

make future posts about xbox1 backups to be played on xbox 1 in the xbox1 section. NOT this thread

(to everyone else, sorry for pulling the thread off topic)
