Windows Vista + Transcoding - Trouble
« on: March 11, 2007, 03:00:00 PM »

Okay so ever since transcoding came out for media center i used it with my xbox360 on windows xp.

I recently upgraded to Windows Vista, and now i am experiencing alot of trouble. I tried to figure out a solution how to transcode videos like i did with transcode360 in windows xp, but all these solutions seem to be troublesome.

What i tried is:

Transcode360 - Handles alot of files fine, but every once in a while the video lags for a second or two, and then jumps like 5 minutes forward. Leaving me looking like a questionmark.

VLC360 - Handles like no files. Well some files work through it, but theres more trouble to this thing. Even the menu in VLC360 on vista is very buggy, sometimes the "cursor" just dissapears and you don't know what your are doing, when you finally find the file you wanna play, then once in a while VLC.exe just crashes and the computer and the xbox360 freezes. When it does actually work, then don't pause the movie, cause then it's fu*ked and won't start again. (Sorry i'm a lil' pissed wink.gif)

MCEVideoConverter - I won't even comment on this shit. Simply doesn't work.

Any clue as to how to get transcoding going on Windows Vista + Xbox360?
