I have a dumb question (or maybe not so dumb).... A friend of mine is a game tester and he has a system he takes home with him on a TEST KIT 360 - The game is on the HDD - Do you think if we hooked a XSATA up to it and pulled the files to the HDD.. could we then IMAGE THEM and burn them to a disk and play it on a regular 360 with a firmware hack?

Yes this is a stupid question.

NO!!!!!!!

Why, because a test kit is allowed to run unsigned code and a retail one is only allowed to run signed code, and no developer is able to do that themselves

So I would assume that NO BUILD of ANY Game on a test Kit would ever be signed? Even say the Final Build of the game?  I understand that a test kit can play signed code. - I also understand that most BUILDS of a game are unsigned. Though could there be a chance that the Final build is signed?

Dev kits will not run signed code.

And no final builds are not signed by the company in question so it still wont run on a retail kit.

Dev kits will not run signed code.

They won't run retail signed code straight out of the box...
