So far I have collected data on a 7,206,912 byte video file, and a 5,578,752 byte one (in addition to the xbox 1 example i gave earlier), so I dont need details for either of those, thanks.
If you have a video file which ISNT one of those sizes, please let me know.

Well first, you cannot make a single layer rip of a 360 game at the moment.
To make a single layer xbox 1/xbox 360 compatible iso without video just use create standard iso (xbox 1 or xtreme 5)

I have no idea why you got the insert into an xbox1/xbox 360 console video, that usually indicates a bad SS file or bad firmware key.

Good luck anyhow smile.gif

Thank you for answering so fast. I made a xbox1 iso without video but I got the error: This original Xbox game has encountered a problem and cannot continue.

I used a clean XBE.

I found out I have xtreme firmware 5.0 instead of 5.1. Maybe that's the problem.

Good Luck with Beta8!

I am not sure its actaully related to the problem you are having (although it might be) but xtreme 5.0 has some bugs reading xbox 1 games that were fixed in later versions. In addition, some drives seem to have terrible problems reading almost anything sometimes, depending on media etc. Only single layer xbox 1 games I ever got to work were on ONE single verbatim dvd+rw. Worked for every game I had a problem reported for until i burned it one too many times, and now none work once more smile.gif

Sorry I cant be more help, but sadly a lot of people seem to have trouble running xbox 1 games and I havent been able to pinpoint any cause at all. Especially seeing as other people have pretty much got any old game and disc to work perfectly.

hi there,

i love XDVDMulleter, i've made quite a few backups of my xbox1 originals and i'm very satisfied, specially because with it i'm able to make xbox1/xbox360 compatible xbox1 backups, i use the "Create Standard ISO (Xbox1 or Xtreme5+)", every xbox1 backup worked in both my xbox1 and my xbox360 (apart from the ones that the 360 can't run because there is no emulation available yet), but when i tried to backup Max Payne i got a problem because it doens't fit on a single layer, so Mulleter doesn't do the Create Standard ISO work and all i could do was try to burn the image anyway (on a double layer verbatim), and it boots on the xbox360, but on the xbox1 it shows the dvd-video error (please put this disc on a xbox system), so how can i make double layer xbox1 backups that are compatible with both systems (xbox1 and xbox360)

btw, i can't wait to see beta 8 smile.gif
cheers

If you want a dual layer disc to boot on both the xbox360 and the xbox 1 you will need an xbox 1 with a hacked samsung drive, and to copy the xbox 1 ss to the end of the iso. If you want, I can describe how to do this in better detail (but id have to look it up, so if you dont have a drive i wont bother smile.gif

What you can likely do is strip the game of things to make it fit. If its got foreign languages etc they can probably be removed, or just crosslinked to others. Did you attempt to use the shrinking screen to remove extra files and things? Its not a game I have, so I cant tell for sure. If you generate a layout file from that release I can most likely tell you more.

I'm looking to get in touch with the author of this as I've put a utility together using some of his source code.

hi badsheepy, almost two months passed and i still can't play double layer xbox1 backups on both xbox1 and xbox360 (only the 360 can boot them), have bought 2 different drives for the xbox1 to see if they boot double layer backups.

my xbox1 came with a Samsung 605F, then i bought a Philips VAD-6011/21(POS) and more recently i've bought a Samsung 605B which everybody says it's the best xbox1 drive, but none of these drives can boot my double layer xbox1 backups.

when you say i need a hacked samsung drive which model is it? will any of my 2 samsung drives be possible to hack? i would need a step by step on how to hack the drives and place the ss files on the end of the iso

best regards, two-rok

Right, the problem is the xbox 1 hack uses both a different SS and also a different place for the SS to be.
So first, flash your xbox 1 samsung drive with the proper firmware.
Then use that drive to extract the ss with dvdinfo pro and insert it right at the end of the disc
(the firmware nfo should tell you how to do this, and where to place it in the ISO)

That will allow you to (probably) boot games on both. I have never tried this though (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Hi,

I pretty much did the same thing as you did with the mulleter, but for some reason the iso that is created, I'm unable to burn it.   I also picked Create Standard ISo (Xbox 1 or Xtreme5+) but unable to burn it.  Can you help?  It's telling me it's unsupported image, what gives?
