Samsung PC DVD Drive SH D163A flashed with Kreon firmware V 080
PCI Sata card with Via VT6421A chipset installed with latest drivers.
Xbox backup creator v2.3.

i installed these all fine on a WINXP PC but when i launch XBC, a see a message saying, "No Applicable Drives Found" and it doesnt give me an option to select the drive.
it detects the drive fine though both in the application and in windows.
i tried the dvd drive in my vista PC conencted to my ASUS A8n32 sli motherboard's sata connector
and XBC doesnt return this error at all. so i tried backing up burnout 3 which backed up fine so i know the dvd drive works fine.. but i want to use it from my XP pc!

any clever people know what the problem is?

some people solved it by going back from 5.4 to 5.2 on the drivers for the card.
