I was using v2.0 with not much problems.
Have now installed v2.4 and am having lots of problems.
No matter what game I am trying to back up I get a error "Unable to determine current visible partition" and then a "read fail".
Can anyone help me with this?
Cheers.

I am having the same problem myself.. Just wondering if any answer found?
Using it on Vista home premium, drive SH-D162C firmware 0.81

Ended up going back to v2.3 for the moment. which is working fine. and i must say its Great software

XP Pro XP2

The start read button is greyed out and the DVD size is reading as 4 TB. The SH-D162C is on a PCI IDE card as the master with cable select.

you are probably using driver 5.4 for your 6421 card, try revert to drivers 5.2.

@gnutellafan
my bad , i assumed you were on the ubiquitous 6421.
exact same issue on 6421 were resolved by falling back to previous drivers.

hi there, could you jumper your drives to 'master' and 'slave' instead of 'cable select'?  from what it saw above, your d162c may still be a slave instead of master.  also, jumper your 111d to slave.  that is how i did to my system.  may help but not 100%.  cheers!

Hey quick question regarding XBC 2.4 I have recently backed up my crackdown. Now it extracts and rips fine then before I backed it up I checked the stealth, it passed all the checks however there was a * next to Video. Any idea what this means? Also in 2.4 should I uncheck the option "Add Filler to Video" I saw it mentioned in a post elsewhere. Thanks for the help guys it's greatly appreciated!

"Video is valid*" means that the sector was found with  "CD001" but the file system could not be parsed.  I haven't decided what to do with this, there are a couple reasons why the video file system may not be able to be read so I haven't made a big deal about it yet.

"Add Filler to Video" only applies to when you are extracting the video section by itself (several places) but doesn't apply when doing a complete backup.

So is it completely stealthed even with the * next to "Video is Valid"?

It is questionable and you can error on the safe side and say it is not stealth, but you need to know why it was not readable and for that you need to look at it manually.  What do other apps flag it as?

Havnt tried another program just XBC. When I use Schtrom as soon as I hit extract it says "NO VALID XBOX DISC IN DRIVE" don't know what that's about.

The drive jumper is certainly on cable select. I did not try setting the jumper to master, but simply took it off the IDE controller card and moved it to the mainboard IDE as a slave to one of my other drives, its working now. Setup had worked fine in the past though, so I dont know what the problem was and Schtrom was able to rip.

I'm looking for a few beta testers that had the following issues:

1:
Media Type: DVD-ROM
Bytes Used: 4.00 TB (4,398,046,511,104 bytes)
2:
Media Type: DVD-ROM
Bytes Used: 0 bytes
3:
After burning the disk, could not eject
4:
Can't start app with dvd in drive
5:
Was there something else I forgot? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

PM me a debug log with the issue you had, thanks

Hey redline, great app m8, little issue over here. I'm using Vista ultimate, i get the same error with 2.4 as 2.3, which is the same as post #18, "It's the 'mscomclt.ocx' error". it was suggested that turning the UAC (User Account Control)  back on solved the problem, for me this is not a viable solution as i would have to reboot everytime to turn it on and then back off and also can't be bothered with 200 popups everytime i wanna edit files by leaving it on, so on so forth.

If there's anything you can do about that to get it fixed it's be great for all the ppl that are having this issue.
Thanks m8 keep up the great job.
