XDVDMulleter Beta 3
Posted by XanTium | February 4 16:46 EST

Badsheepy released a new version of XDVDMulleter(info), an ISO extraction/creation/rebuilding tool for Xbox and Xbox360 discs with several features making it useful for more precise dumps as required by xtreme firmwares.
From readme/nfo:
Quote

Just a quick update to fix a stupid flaw making dvd5 isos much too big

Fixed in b3:
* DVD5 ISos are now resized properly.
* Rebuild no longer lets you attempt to clone a filesystem from a folder.

Official Site: n/a, by Badsheepy
Full Readme/News-Source: xbins.org
Download: n/a (contains files built with XDK)

Image writing failed: An attempt was made to move the file pointer before the beginning of the file.
I tried several titles, from file folder, with and without .lyt, create dvd5 iso, universal SS, no dmi/pfi
Also, checking for cross-linked files results in an unhandled exception.

Can XBC inject ss and video into padding area of iso? Or can it replace quix craxtion & moogui while utilizing lyt files? I just want to play my xbox1 backups on sl discs on my x52c 360.

XDVDMulleter is NOT for ripping games.
It just resizes dvd9 -> dvd5 and vice versa
and some other random things
it doesnt work on 360 ISOs

With regards to errors, i will look into that now. Its probably something I broke, cause im sure it was working a while ago tongue.gif

Yeah, it replaces those tools as well as xbefix. Plus adds video files etc.

TinkeringAndTampering: The crosslinking files bit was a stupid bug, i fixed it in new build, but i cant replicate your problem making ISOs from folders. Could you tell me what game it was exactly you were using, so i can try to reproduce it.

As always, thanks for the feedback. Specially the error reports, cause most of them are stupid stuff i didnt think to retest when changing things.

First I picked MX vs ATV Unleashed but I tried a few others and got the same results.
Make a new iso --> tick 'iso from folder' --> (browse to folder) -> Create dvd5 iso --> (detects ntscu/j, all ok) --> use universal ss --> no media stealth --> load the layout file from ?disc? (here I browse to it on the hdd) --> start --> I get the eror immediately after it does the video partition.
Same thing with Lego Star Wars 2, Madden 07, Open Season...I think its irrelevant of the title...something in the choices I made. The iso grows to 387 Mb before the error.
Currently rebuilding a Madden 07 iso, even though its not backwards compatible. This option doesn't error, and I'll soon see if the size problem is fixed. Nope, its still making the iso too large for sl. The Madden image I tried to rebuild was made with moogui. I used padding with a 20Mb outer edge buffer. So its 4.34 gigs or 4,559,582 KB. After rebuild it was 4.37 gigs or 4,590,144 KB.

4.37gig fits on a dvd for me...
In fact, its a hardcoded value it resizes too, not a bug this time
Could you tell me the exact size of your blank media?
I have tried dvd+r, dvd-r and dvd+rw and all fit an iso of that size on easily

If its different size media I will add an option to select which.
With regards to the end sector padding, have you ever actually had an ISO die when you didnt use it?
cause i have it implemented, but no way of setting the value in the gui cause i didnt see it as important.
If you think its a helpful option i will add it later

Thanks for replying smile.gif

Does this prog "repair" a patched iso?? Like a back up that was created with dvd2xbox or qwix??
I tried to do this and burn to a dvd+r and a dvd+rw with clone cd.  My 360 proceeded to inform me that it was an xbox original and wouldn't play.

it is probably something that I am doing wrong or it could be the fact that I have a hitachi 59 flashed with garyopa stealth v2.3 rev 2.

Hitachi's don't like dvd5, right ??

Please advise, i'm probably barking up the wrong tree.  biggrin.gif  lol

Thanks!

If you ftp a dvd2xbox'd game to your pc, you need to delete the default.xbe and rename the one with _orig at the end to be the executer. (delete the _orig) I don't know if mulleter requires this step or if its integrated.
Badsheep I'm using verb's bitset to -rom. Maybe I should try clonecd instead.
Hmm I decided to use moogui to make an image of mx vs atv, and then rebuild that iso instead of doing it from file folder....same result...
