1) Tools available at XS
Many of the 'PC Tools and Utilities' supporting the X360 can be found in the

2) Firmwares and Related Tools
This section does not include any information on firmwares (please read the **warning below). All firmware releases are listed in  Releases, Tuturial And Guides, Xbox 360 DVD Firmware Hacks pinned at the top of the DVD hacking forum. You will find here many of the PC tools required for preparing/flashing firmwares like pSlax - Linux Bootdisc, Xtreme Boot Maker And iPrep, and FW toolbox 3.1B.


3) Freewares and Commercial Tools
There are also many commercial softwares and freewares that have become almost de facto standard of the XS-Scene. Some of the commercial softwares have a limited feature version that can be used for free.
In this category you will find:
-Imgburn: Burning X360 backup, setting booktype...Verifying a burn
-Isobuster: Still a great fallback if XBCr and Schtrom cannot be used.
-DVDinfopro: Send command directly to your drive, extract ss.bin and much more...


4) Single Layer Backup for Samsung Drive
With the latest iXtreme FW, this feature is not available anymore.
For the owner of Samsung TH-S943A drives who still use FW 5.0 to 5.3 and want to backup their Xbox 1 game to single layer DVD. At the moment, the best tool is:  XDVDMulleter Beta

Many of the softwares cannot be shared on the XS site and forums. Do not request for them, do not request or provided link to them or any directions on how to find them other then the famous look at the usual places. The best way to find a software is to look in the XS Download Page for Xbox 360 PC Tools , and if not listed you can search the appropriate forum (or the News in XS front page) for the release post of the software.

A software that can be provided in XS will have the following at the bottom of the first post:

from which you can download the software.

Software that cannot be provided at XS will have
Download: n/a
or a mention (might be illegal under...)
or a mention (built with...)

If you are not able to find the release post of a software, it is the first thing you should ask for, and that before asking where to download  

Obviously, do not request people send you information in order to illegally obtain commercial softwares and products. If you are trying to locate a site to get a legitimate version (trial, updates...) plse make sure that you clearly indicate that intent in your post.
