Sh-d162 Problem
« on: January 26, 2007, 04:23:00 PM »

I just got my SH-D162 and have it plugged into my Raid card's IDE channel.  In this channel my computer (explorer) recognizes the drive, and can tell when media is inserted, however when opening xbox backup creator, the drive isn't listed.  Is this because it is attached to the scsi/raid card? and not directly to the motherboard?

Is the xbox backup creator only scanning for devices directly attached to the motherboard?

I can switch this later, but was just checking to see if this was the case or if there was a problem with my drive/mobo/computer/program.

Also the program was uninstalled and re-installed.

If this is the case for the xbox backup creator, possibly an addition for a newer release?

Thanks in advance.

Sh-D162c does not work in all position/configuration.
I have seen people making it work on IDE card, and some that had to move it from the card to an IDE port on the Mboard. Sometimes Primary, sometimes slave!!!
Our friend Redline (xboxcreator) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I believe use the word finicky for it.

Will transfer to software/Utilities since the question is about XBCr features.

I installed it yesterday and it works like a charm.  It connected to the mainboard via a PATA cable (i don't know much about PCs so bare with me) and its the second of 2 drives in have on that cable.  Its also the slave

Thanks, I figured that was the case, I'll switch it once I can get rid of another hard drive.
