yeah that is normal with a sh-d162c

in fact go in the drive tools and extract a few times the ss of a game (only the SS)

they will all be functional but have a few bytes different in a HEX compare.

just did three ss extract of a given game, three diff crc-32

Also there is an option to add a tag to the iso in Xbox Backup Creator. This tab stores info about the drive and some version info. (this can be disabled and removed of course on the option tab) but anyways this can cause a CRC difference.

But should two consecutive reads with the same drive and version leave two files with identical tag info?

anyway, two consecutive extraction of the ss (click, click not even taking the disk out) will give slightly different ss, so different crc.

about the tag not sure will let redline tell you, the crc would be different anyway.

Yes if you are comparing Xbox Backup Creator to Xbox Backup Creator, but no if you are comparing Xbox Backup Creator to Schtrom's because Schtrom doesn't add the tag.
