You have overpaid for the drive.
Xbox backup creator is a foolproof and easy method. Click to rip click to burn

I paid £11.42 and £3.00 shipping from DAbs
It's still worth it to have the convenience of backing up on the PC

I've updated the firmware on my Pioneer 109 to 1.58 so fingers crossed using IMGburn i should be ok.

Same in North-America, some place are Ok, others try to take advantage. Paid mine less than 25 USD at a computer part store in canada.

I had success with a 109 but was using a buffalo FW I believe (8.57 or 8.58??)

also check the 360 Dvd Drive Backup Compatability Threads, pretty sure there is something on the 109/A09 in there.

Cheers bud,

I have the Pioneer 108 with FW 1.20 working fine with backups made on my Kreon Sammy with XBC 2.3.

So your 109 should be dandy.
