well for the past 2 days i could not get my 360 2 recognise my tversity server if my life depended on it. I could get wmp11 to work but tversity couldnt. I know all my settings were correct cause i could access my server from my laptop. Since i have norton systemworks, i know that "internet worm protection" in itself is a firewall in ways, so i set out to allow tversity to run without being blocked. Allowing the mediashare.exe didnt work at all. i set it to permit all and my 360 still couldnt find it.
It wasnt till i actually went a modified a "Rule" in Internet Worm Protection settings. The rule modified was: Default Windows File Sharing. and all i did was add Tversity port to the list. One way to find out if this is the actual culprit without editing rules is to temporarly disable "Internet Worm Protection". it wont work if disable "Auto Protect" because worm protection stays on. if you disable and it works, ur golden. Hope this helped some people.
