Little program I have been working on:
http://badsheepy.com...lleterBeta1.rar

It will rebuild your xbox 1 isos from dvdr or iso while patching all the xbes, making you a nice xbox 1 + xtreme 5 compatible ISO. Also shows you the region code. Rebuilds with nice binary search trees like qwix does, so makes nicer isos than gdfimage at least.

Note: the other functions are untested, Im only releasing this now to save people interested a bit of effort
All you have to do is:
load iso/disc
click next a few times
click make ISO
burn iso in your burning program of choice

if you try it and anything goes wrong, please leave feedback

also! My xbox 360 refuses entirely to read most dvd5 (even for things such as the dashboard updates), they dont even spin up. DVD+RW work, however i suspect a small pot tweak would make pretty much any disc read properly.

so essentially, can your program take an iso that was meant for xbox1 and convert to be xbox360 friendly, and allowing it it to be put onto a single layer?

Shouldn't be too long, takes about 15 seconds for the biggest xbes i could find on my quite slow athlon. But remember it checks every xbe so itll be longer for isos with multiple xbe files in them.

And yes, it takes them and rebuilds them properly, but not specifically for xbox360 (unless you choose xtreme dvd5/9), they will still work on XBOX 1 like normal.

nice app.

when using the dvd9 method, it asks for an iso file with the video partition.  what is this/or where do i find this?

Video file is to make an xtreme compatible dvd9.
You can find it in xtreme 3/4 package.
(you could rip it, but the bad sectors are there so it would take a VERY long time)
You also need an SS for a dvd9 copy.
If you have a layout file you can use that to recreate the original file positions on disc.

But! Cause this was just a quick release to let people rebuild their xbox 1 isos, .dvd file making for dvd9 isnt implemented in this build. DO NOT just burn the dvd9 iso, first make a .dvd file (just a text file) with the following lines in it:
LayerBreak=1913776
IMAGE.000
where image.000 is the filename of your iso. Then burn the dvd file as usual.

I've used the program badsheepy made,
1. I first selected rebuild an existing ISO
2. loaded from file (used halo 2 pal)
3. selected create standard ISO (Xbox1 or Xtreme5+)
4. Pal, ntsc/j and ntsc/u were checked and it said XBE checked and found valid
5. Selected don't alter layout
6. Clicked make ISO

Now the problem:
When I put it in my Xbox 360 it says that the game isn't supported and then quiets. But Halo 2 is on the compatibility list and I have flashed my xbox 360 with Xtreme 5.1, it's the Pal version.

Is this normal or I'm a doing something wrong?

I just tried this on my backup of Doom 3. My Original is scratched up pretty bad but somehow still readable.
Turns out that the 360 DVD Drive does not like the same media as the Xbox 1 DVD drive. My backup of Doom 3 did the laser whining up and down thing until you eventually get the "Open Tray" error. This has been my finding for media it doesn't like and will not load properly. Of coarse they work fine on my original xbox.

I ran a backup ISO of Doom 3 threw the scan process and it told me the file was invaild. I FTP'd into my xbox to get the original xbe file off of my disc and ran xbefix on the file. Said that it fixed it without errors.
I used your program to once again load my bad ISO of Doom 3, when I got to the part that asks "if you want to use another xbe file..click browse". I searched for the xbe file that I just repaired with xbefix and allowed your program to merge it into my already made ISO.

When the file was ready I used Nero 6 and burned it. Put the disc in my 360 and it loaded like a charm.  smile.gif
I also had to try another media brand. My drive seems to like Memorex DVD-r, so that's what I'll be using from now on.

The games that I have working on the 360 at this time are:

Batman Begins
Doom 3
Half-Life 2
Black (Game is awesome threw the 360 emulator)
Halo
Call of Duty Finest Hour
James Bond Nightfire

I'm currently working on my Medal of Honor Collection:

Frontline
European Assualt
Rising Sun

Thanks for the use of your program to make this a easy process.

Thanks for that piggymouth, any other xbes people find which cant be fixed by xdvdmulleter id be greateful to hear about, as adding extra unpatching rules is trivial, but until i find an xbe i cant unpatch its somewhat impossible to implement them smile.gif

radiance: Halo 2 works perfectly for me. Have you perhaps got a modified XBE for extra maps or something? I cant think what else would give you an error like that. But its not normal for sure.

And yeah, I have found terrible media problems with DVD5 on multiple xboxes, mostly DDE errors or the disc not spinning up whatsoever. I keep meaning to Pot tweak, but xtreme 5.2 is coming soon, so either that will help or I will have to open the case again and ill try it and give results here. Again though, dvd+RW work perfectly for me so perhaps one of them is worth trying if you are having troubles.

I did have a few xbe's that refused to get fixed either by your program or xbefix. I don't know where we can go with this but you said to let you know. Xbefix did fix the "hash" part of the file on one that I remember but it would fail on the rest.

My MOH Collection is one of the xbe's that could not get repaired properly. I was using my backup disc to try and burn another to play on the 360. Since it gave me fits about reparing the xbe file, I'll have to go and dig up my original.

I guess I don't understand how it fixes these files. What does it look for..?
Once it finds something that it doesn't like how does it try to patch the file..?
Am I making sense....

Hmm ok, if it works on your xbox I'm probably doing something wrong. I'll just try a few other disks, I used a DVD+RW think that's the problem.

XBE's which are patched in a non generic way wont be unpatchable (unless you coded support for each one individually). Basically all i do, (and im pretty sure xbefix does the same) is search for the media check code in any section of the xbe where the hash fails, flip it back to how it would be, and test the hash again. If it now matches whats in the header then unpatching that section worked. The header is mostly the same, it basically just tries a load of combinations of media flags and region codes until the RSA signature matches.

Anyhow games which xdvdmulleter doesnt fix which xbefix does i can add support for, but games modified in anything other than a generic way (Edited by sosotiit)
