hi all, im sorry if im posting in the wrong forum.. im really new and i apologize..

im trying my first 360 firmware hack
i downloaded: Xtreme firmware for TS-H943 Xbox 360

followed instructions from:

now im stuck on flashing the xbox dvd...
i made the floppy and copied mtkflash.exe mtkflash.typ xtrm0800.bin xtreme.bin to floppy disk
booted my system with floppy then i get to cmd screen
i have the xbox360 connected to my SATA cable

i tried:
mtkflash r orig.bin
then
mtkflash r /m /sata orig.bin

and i get halted at the same point:
Port: 170 Master/Slave: a0
it does not show anythign else and just sits there forever
so I press ESC and exit...

MY XBOX DVD: TOSHIBA SAMSUNG TS-H943 m25
MY MOTHERBOARD: BIOSTAR TFORCE 6100

Wrong section.
But it isn't as cut and dry as use mtkflash and away you go.
You need a SATA chipset that is compatible.
or a mtkflash edited to work with your chipset.

Ok, I downloaded xtreme boot maker  v0.3.6.14220

I loaded my xtreme.bin from the Xtreme_Package i downloaded
and it created the floppy startup disk

I did the samread and samhack and everything looked successful!
I tried a retail game, works great.

Then I tried my backup game and it had a hard time reading... Eventually it read the disc as  Mixed media

So I thuoght the firmware I loaded in xtremebootmaker was too old so I downloaded Xtreme42 and tried to load that new xtrem42a.bin in xtremebootmaker and it said unknown firmware, use with caution

I havent gone any further.. im wondering what todo now?

Ok im an idiot

I forgot to set my LayerBreak before I burned my backup
Im doing this now and Im sure evverything will be good

sounds like you flashed it correctly, if it plays originals, it should play backups (if backups are done correctly)

dont freak out if they do not, use the search to find other people issues and compare yours to theirs.
if unable to find anything then post your results thus far.
