I have xbox backup creator V2.3 and this is what it says:

Found ODD: PIONEER DVD-RW  DVR-111D 1.23 at [2:1]
Getting media info [2:1]
   Media Type: DVD-ROM
   Bytes Used: 6.87 MB (7,206,912 bytes)

but it does not give me the option to start reading the disk.  Please help I cant find the faq where it I can find a tutorial.

You have to use a DVD drive capable of reading a 360 disc!

Start by READING the "README" file that came with XBC.
