Why Are All Xbc Output Iso's The Same Size?
« on: November 14, 2006, 06:26:00 AM »

why are all the xbc output files the same size, regardless of the game?? i have several games that i have backed up and all the ISO's are all 7.05 GB.  xbc says what the size of the game is at the beginning of the rip, why doesn't it produce a file that size? just wondering. i am trying to store all of my backups on my hard drive and would like to save the extra space if possible. is there a setting i should be aware of??  thanks

All xbox and xbox 360 games are the same size (respectively).  Not all of it is game data though - there's filler.  The new xtreme version 5 firmware is supposed to allow file based backups to play on the 360 - the current xbc and schrom will have to be updated to allow for this as well.  It probably won't be long now.
