Schtrom released a new version of Schtrom360Xtract(info), a tool that will allow you to easily dump Xbox/Xbox360 gamedata, extract/patch the Security Sectors, PFI and DMI and fully prepare the image for burning in 1 step.

What's new/fixed (since v2.1):
* sector mapping implemented for XBOX1
* xtreme v4.0 and later new unlock command supported for ms28
* support for SH-D163A
* show SH-D162C and SH-D163A only if the drive responds to the get drive feature cdb
* check for disc in drive on extraction
* the region code of an image or game.iso can be checked
* extract files from an image file with the new XDVDFS XTR tool -] thanks for the inspiring source to Team PI Coder

Does this mean that the enable8000 command will be implemented in your backups?

Seems more like a new way to "see" the xbox360 partition. You know, just like before we had this program, the one on which we needed to send custom command... oh well, I'm sure you get it

maybe this version will finally be able to rip halo 2 with my ms25

What does sector mapping do? Do I want to turn it on for xb1 discs? And Why does it take 2+ hrs to creat backup?

Sector mapping is the technique that the program uses to read only the sectors used by files in the filesystem on the DVD - removing the need to read every sector. This speeds up the ISO creation as less sectors are read, and it skips over the 'bad sectors' that previously caused slow multiple read retry attempts.

When i put secotr mapping on for a XB1 disc, it says 360 disc not found ERROR

When I rip Halo 2 with this, it takes over 3 hrs to do. WHen I burn it my 360 reconizes it as a DVD. I have backup ed plenty of 360 games, never a Xbx1 game. I am running xtr4.1 with a sammy drive, verbatim dl

quick question, i am trying to backup an xbox1 original, but when i go to the options menu and select "disc type" XBOX1" and clsoe the menu, if i go back into menu it automatically has been set back to XBOX360 disc type....

This is my first time using this program, anything i should know about doing backups for xbox1 or 360 games? do i just ignore the disc type setting? even if doing xbox1 backups?

also i have just started backing up forza motorsport xbox1 game, and its taking a very long time is this normal?

The settings are saved in the Schtrom360Xtract.ini file on closing the options dialog. The dialog only loads the TS-H943A and XBOX360 settings on opening, but the settings stay the same.

I you need a long time for XBOX1 backups use the sector mapper and remeber you can activate this option for EVERY drive. So there is an option for XBOX1 sector mapping on all three drives in the ini file. It could be the case you activated sector mapping only for TS-H943A and backup your games on SH-D162C. So sector mapping must be activated for the SH-D162C also!

Halo1 worked for me in 8 to 9 minutes with sector mapping!
