the DVD+R DL with Enable0800.iso on it goes into the TS-H943A. Power the TS-H943A with that dvd in the drive, wait 15-30 seconds, then power up the PC.  If the TS-H943A is compatible with your chipset then it should continue booting without any problems.

TheSmooth1
You should power off PC and XBOX
Insert 0800.iso DVD into XBOX and allow about 10-20 secods for it to finish
Then power on your PC
While PC is booting you should see your drive show up in the BIOS Preboot screen
Once in windows you should see XBOx DVD Drive in My Computer

Then use Redline99's awesome tool.  Works like a champ

I went to burn a backup of xxxxxxx and when I open the .dvd file in Xbox Backup Creator the program says "we are expecting a file size of 7.xxgb and your file only has 6.xxgb" anyone know if its still okay to burn ?? SFV says its perfectly fine,  QuickPAR says 100% okay too. anyone know if I burn in another program will it work or should I forget about it?

It's probably missing the video section.  Use the stealth check on the ISO tools tab and see what it says. If that doesn't work open up the image in IsoBuster or a hex editor and look around.

But don't burn it as it is probably not valid as it is right now.

Hi folks, sorry to jump in with my first post being a question.

I have been burning disks without trouble using XBC and a pioneer 110, every disk that passed the stealth check burned and played fine. However I have been tinkering a bit (not with the pioneer or XBC) while installing a bitsetting firmware on a Sony writer so I can use it with XBC. I am not saying that has caused the problem but now every disk I try and burn I get (just after the 'initializing drive' message) : LUN not ready; Long write in progress. this message repeats until the disk finishes, and then the weird thing is they seem to play ok. What have I fecked up, anyone please help?
Thanks, Messa.

 uhh.gif

PS I get the message with the Pioneer that worked fine previously, not the Sony.

Hi danejadee,

No its not absolutely necessary to buy a Pioneer 111d to burn your backups. Other DVD burners may also work just fine. But IN CASE your backups don't work, even after XBC 2.3 reports that your image passed all checks, then it might be that your burner is causing a problem.

Personally, I have burnt backups successfully using my Plextor PX-716UF external DVD burner as well as my Compaq Presario V6000's LG DVD burner ( model GMA-4082N ) on cheapo Office Depot DVD+RDL media (I lucked out and got 25-pack for $5).

The recommendation is for people who want to have the absolutely perfect long lasting DVD backups and are willing to pay a bit extra for the perfect DVD burner and Verbatim DL media. With media this cheap, I personally don't mind low reliability and would rather not spend extra on the perfect hardware. Others hold different points of view, so to each his own. Its up to you to buy a Pioneer if you want, but your LG AND Samsung, both will PROBABLY work just fine.

I have the SH-D162C and Pioneer 111d with no problems backing up xbox360 games. im looking to backup some of my xbox1 games and it appears that i do it basically the same way.

My only question is media. i have the latest 4.2 firmware also, but will i need to burn xbox1 games to a dual layer? or can i use single layer if the game fits on one?

Hi Redline, I am having problem backing up star trek legacy using v 2.3. and SH-D162C.

See this post.

It does not seem to see the game partition.

I have no problem extracting separately SS, DMI, PFI and the xdvdfs generates a dump.
