Maximus 360 Firmware Toolbox v1.2

Maximus released a new version of 360 Firmware Toolbox(info) - a graphical tool to handle several common dvd-drive firmware tasks.
What's new/fixed:
* Added support for Hitachi GDR-3120L Fw 0078 (keys are on 4B00 instead of 4F00)
* Support for 59B it is not needed (acts the same as 59)

Interesting..... looks like a tool to easily swap drives, provided you have the keys.....

It's funny.. I've been collecting every tool released.. but i still don't have the balls to actually attempt to mod the drive :-/

If people got a 2005 model then it's worth waiting until the warranty's finished otherwise once you've opened it up then a couple of months down the line the box overheats you're basically fucked.

By the way does anybody know what they did to the newer models manf. in '06 to stop them from overheating, I know there's going to a major revision next year but what have they done to sort the overheating for the time being?
