sosotiit - heh, thanks for the info.... figures, doing it the wrong way and it works doing it the correct way and it's broken. smile.gif

No prob, i will gladly continue to test.

@pds910,  It is not autoset. The best is to use imgburn to set the booktype or the liteon utility 'Booktype 1.3.5'. real easy.

Ok I got this utility...Now, do I have to set this only once (dvd+r dl to dvd-rom, correct?), or every time before I want to burn a backup?

I beleive we are really out of subject here, by respect to Redline I would suggest
CDfreaks -Liteon forum
if you want forum talk on the liteon.

Quickly, Put a dvd+r DL in the drive, set 'change Booktype to' to DVD_ROM, check save setting and hit 'change'.
If you have not done,  it would be good to update to last fw HSOE as they have made amazing work on their Firmware. It is set until you change it, no need to redo it.

There is a new version out...

Xbox Backup Creator v2.2 Build: 180

This is mostly a compatibility update, with a few new options sprinkled in.
If you have used the setup version, it should upgrade ok using the new installer. But if you want to stay on the safe side then use the Add/Remove Programs to uninstall the previous version first.

Remember to please give me detailed feed back on compatibility so I can address it. Smiley

Changes from v2.1
Fixed - Some drive/media combinations didn't report Available bytes correctly

Added - Option to Perform the OPC or not, Default = True
Added - Option to Perform the Track Reservation or not, Default = True
Added - Fix for Invalid Xbox One Security Sector (Kreon pre .81 and Hitachi F900)
Added - Better support for Maximus-Garyopa Hitachi-LG Xtreme v2.2 Stealth 8in1 (limited)
Added - Support for Frog Aspi v0.29.4, http://www.frogaspi.org/index.html (Included)
Added - Support for TS-H943A Xtreme v4.0 Game Partition Unlock command

Changed - Set Write Speed, Hopefully more compatible
Changed - New method of monitoring the tray status
Changed - GetMediaStatus routine, to allow for more waiting after closing a disk
Changed - Increased the File IO read timeout,
this puts more responsibility on the burners buffer-underrun tech

Please start using the Frog Aspi v0.29.4 in ASPI mode. If it works for everyone
then I will probabally set that as default next time.

FYI, Burning with liteon is still going good at 4x,
but setting the speed to 2,x does not reduce burning speed.

By the way certainly do not want to sound like I am complaining, quite the opposite this prog is exceptional. Again Thanks.

tpitsikas - SS Extraction should be fine for you. About using ImgBurm or CloneCD, I really don't kow, I  used CloneCD one time, ever since then I use my own app.

You really don't need to use any other burning software.  Redline99's XBC does it all...flawlessly!

hehe... for most... I think I have a pretty good coverage on compatibility but its not perfect smile.gif That is why I left it as a 2 step operation, so you can have the chance to burn with what ever app works for you. smile.gif

GREAT APP!!!!.....but how would u go about making backups of xbox1 games that would work on the 360.  None of my current backups will run.  So Im guessing something has to be different. And also do you still have to use   DL media for xbox1?

Thanks and what a great program...so far its doin perfect

hey guys. just looking for an update regarding whether or not this is going to work for the hitachi drive. only found a few scattered remarks on the forum, but the word seems to be that the hitachi cannot see or separate a partition within the game. will a hitachi work with this? i have a Samsung SH-D162C coming sometime in the next month (they are on back-order and must be getting more popular for some reason... LOL) but am anxious to get this working asap. i have a hitachi rom v. 49dj.   on a side note, i have a samsung SH-S162 DL burner in my tower now. is this drive model close enough to to try to flash it with kreons firmware? they are both SH-162's...  just wondering.... thanks!

I had two questions.

First question is I am using a flashed Samsung ts-h943 and i am using stpi to create the iso. explain if there is any difference between stpi and aspi in quality terms and speed terms.

Second question is I was wondering is it normal for creating your ISO to take a couple of days? Im not complaining because it took me like 4 hours unplugging and plugging to get it to start making the ISO. Just wondering should i be worried that its only working at 16KB/second? Is that normal speed? I looked at the abgx site and abgx360 and there is only 1 day timespan between some verifys for games. I dont see how that is possible if that speed is normal. Unless its because the speed of my writing on my hard drive.
