Well I figured it out.  After all the updating, my drive was forced to PIO transfer mode instead of DMA.  Uninstalling the controller channel per the Workaround section below did the trick.

The app isn't designed to make a backup of a backup.  Use a different app to create an iso (anthing really) and then manually set the layer break.

Hi,

Great app. Just created my first backup and it works, although it seems like the writing process is not optimized for my burner. I first used your programm to write to a DVD+R DL and the intro movie of the game keeps hanging. (skipping the intro before hanging is possible and the game works) I wrote the same image using CloneCD and the game works like a charm. What info do you need from my recorder in order to get it supported better?

Keep on the good work...

Getting media info [D]
   Media Type: DVD+R DL (Blank, Manufactured by MKM)
   Bytes Available: 358 KB (366,592 bytes)

Getting media info [E]
   Media Type: DVD-ROM
   Bytes Used: 6.87 MB (7,206,912 bytes)

   <-- Security Sector Details -->
   Source Drive: SH-D162C

the game (amped3) rips fine, but it wont burn because the prog detects the disc as having only 358KB and wont write. Gives message: "media cannot hold the final expected image size..."
I then went into cloneCD with the same media in the drive and burned the same image I just ripped and all was well(tested fine).
I tried another blank and it's giving the same space error(358KB). Media is Verbatium DL +R Photo Printible.

Thanks for the hard work on this app Redline99. It works perfectly with my setup on box 360 games and regular xbox games. I get speeds up to 12x with speed boost enabled. Somewhere around 4x without speed boost. Haven't had any troubles to speak of using Verbatim DL +r disks.

Thanks again Redline99!!

can you use this app to rip and burn games using the 360 drive and a burner?  or do you have to have the samsung drive to read the games?

i_love_to_tsop - what does DVDInfo say about the empty disk, what does it report as the free space? Nero too??  There are several people with that issue.  If I can figure out the cause of it I will release an update. smile.gif
