What's up Redline99?

Nice program, however, I got a problem.

I have an SH-D162C installed as external drive (because my case doesn't have enough room for it) via Firewire A. So, it's not showing up in the list of drives of XBC. Any ideas? (besides installing the drive internally of course.)

Thanks.

Thanks Kaper, I'll look into that.
Has anyone successful made a backup with XBCv2 with an SH-D162C drive with an external enclosure?

Thanks.

BIG SMOKEY - The app will do everything.  Are you useing a SH-D162C to make a Xbox one backup? if so, kreon has a bug in the drive firmware what doesn't create a propert security sector.  You have to manually patch it.

gsx8o - Does it get assigned a drive letter before you start Xbox Backup Creator?

Kaper - what disk is that if I may ask? Is it an original?  The app can't determine it by the standard partiton sizes.

Yeah, it has an assigned drive letter, but I think it's not working because I removed a stock drive from a Sony external drive and tried applying the SH-D162C to the enclosure. I'm guessing the IDE to Firewire converter wasn't compatible with the new drive. The Samsung didn't even show up in DVDInfoPro. It works when used internally via IDE cord, so I know it's not a faulty drive. In a few days, I'll be trying out an actual external enclosure. I'll update the status, but if anyone has tried this already, please let me know.

I've had the program freeze up on me on about half my burns. My burner keeps blinking, indicating it's burning, but after I remove the disc, it's clear that it stopped when the program froze. There's no error message, and the window stops redrawing.

The other half of my burns have gone just fine.  uhh.gif

Anyone had any problems backing up with the pc samsung drive, as its "not fully compatible with security sectors"?
if so, which games do back up and which ones dont?

To Chemicalhunter...

If it's Xbox 1 games you are trying to backup....

There is still a small bug in the Kreon FW0.8 for xbox one game that will be corrected soon. The recipe to correct until that is done is on page 6-7 of this post.
In short do a
1)whole backup of your xbox game,
2)extract the ss.bin from the image,
3) with a HEX editor put zero values in address 0200 to 02cf and save.
4) reinsert ss.bin

burn, it works well, tested by a few here.

I have the same problem and I am trying to backup the 360 version of Burnout Revenge. Will the hex patching work for me as well?

EDIT: I should say that I get the window, "Current drive doesn't completely support SS extraction"
