Okay so i just installed Windows XP MCE 2005 and wanted to try it with my xbox360.

I turned on the box, went to media center, and it told me to go to xbox.com/pcsetup and download a program.

I did that, and installed the application, but it never asked for the setup key or anything, it just installed windows media connect (as it did on my windows xp sp2) and really, i can't acces the media center features in any way?!

What to do?

do you have ALL the updates to media center?  have you opened media center on your computer and done the setup on it?

sure you did a "clean" install on a drive without windows on it , if you had win on the drive before you only get winxp and not MCE .......
