what is the modle number on the router?
WRT54G (v1, v2, v3)
 3.01.3, 3.03.6
 802.11g/b

WRT54GS (v2)
 3.37.6
 802.11g/b

WRT55AG (v2)
 1.10
 802.11g/b/a

if it's not one of these that may be tour problem...
also try going to port fowarding and forward port 53 to 88 and then forward port 3074 to 3704....that may also fix the problem u could also try upgrading firmware but try that and let me know if it work and if not I will try and help more.

Newest firmware seemed to resolve the issue. Wierd tho because it was working fine before without it. BTW it is a WRT54GS (v2)... it had v2.0.7 firmware or something and the latest is 4ish

change to firmware 3.37.6 that should fix the problem...the firmware you are using isn't xbox live compatible

ftp://ftp.linksys.com/pub/network/WRT54GS...7.6_US_code.zip

and just to try and save you the headache of finding it here is the link.
